Dung beetles are beetles which feed partly or exclusively on feces. They belong to the superfamily Scarabaeoidea

There are 3 types of dung beetles depending on how they handle and use dung:

  1. Rollers, roll dung into balls.  The dung balls are used for food or brooding chambers
  2. Tunnellers, bury dung where they find it
  3. Dwellers live in the dung
Stag beetles are a group of about 1,200 species of beetle in the family Lucanidae.

Most stag beetles grow to around 5 cm (2 in).

The name of the stag beetles is due to how they look.  The mandibles on the male resemble the antlers of stags.

Male stag beetles fight each other using their mandibles.  They fight to establish mating sites.

Stag beetles are not normally aggressive toward humans.

Female stag beetles are smaller than males and their mandibles are not as large.

Stag beetle larva spend several years feeding on rotting wood.
The Goliath beetles are some of the largest insects in the world. They are members of subfamily Cetoniinae and are within the scarab beetle family.

Goliath beetles can be found in Africa's tropical forests.  They feed on tree sap and fruit.

Goliath beetles measure from 50-110 mm (2 to 4-1/3 inches) in length.  They can weigh up to 80-100 grams (3 to 3-1/2 oz) in the larval stage.  Adults weight about half as much as larva.

The heavily armored adults are so large that when flying, they produce a sound akin to a toy helicopter in flight. The females range from a dark brown to silky white, but the males are nomally brown/white/black or black/white.
The great white shark is one of the largest sharks.

It was the star in the movie "Jaws".
Anacondas include four species of aquatic boa inhabiting the swamps and rivers of the dense forests of tropical South America.

Anacondas have been reported to be as long as 30-45 m (98.4-147.6 ft).  However most reports are unverified.  Most larger anacondas have been recorded at around 30 feet with some reports of 50-60foot anacondas.  The largest captured anaconda measured 35 feet.
